October 31, 2014. In line with the acceleration of the effects of climate change on society, more and more attention is given to the governance of adaptation to climate change. CPC Consortium Meeting
October 24, 2013. At this consortium meeting we focused on the preliminary outcomes and conclusions of the CPC programme. Also, we started to formulate the message that we want to communicate. In this respect, special attention was given to the recently released ‘Manifest Klimaatbestendige Stad’ of the Ministry of Infrastructure and Environment. Read More.

Delta Alliance Progress Assessment - a preview beyond Knowledge for Climate
October 10, 2013. The first phase of the international project Launching the Delta Alliance started in 2009 within the framework of the research programme Knowledge for Climate. By the end of 2013, the third and final phase of the Knowledge for Climate project ended and Delta Alliance International continued as a network operating without financial support from Knowledge for Climate. Read more.

Climate-KiC Business Challenge 2013
May 21, 2013. The MatchMaking Event in Amsterdam was the kick-off of the Climate Adaptation Business Challenge 2013. This networking event was intended to spark ideas for innovative products or services for climate adaptation. We aimed to facilitate you in sharing ideas and knowledge, exploring new business opportunities and meeting the right people. Read more.

CPC Consortium Meeting
April 25, 2013, Rotterdam. During the morning session, the focus was on the stakeholders: how are their adaptation strategies evolving, what information needs do they have and what do they expect from CPC? In the end the morning there were speed date sessions, in which the stakeholders addressed their specific questions or requests directly at the researchers. Read more.

Midterm Assessment 2012 - A Preview of End Results
October 4, 2012. Amsterdam, The Netherlands.
The research programme Knowledge for Climate started in 2008. By the end of 2014 the programme will finish. In the first tranche many relevant subjects were researched by the eight Hotspots. The eight Consortia started enthusiastically in the context of the second tranche. Therefore October 2012 was a perfect time to organise a midterm review in which we will focus on what to expect as end results. Read more.

KfC Workshop Adaptation and Decision Support Models and Tools

The workshop aimed at bringing together experts from the Netherlands and other European countries, to present and discuss the progress made in the KvK thematic project on decision support tools and a number of similar research projects in Europe, and to support the work of the JPI Climate Working Group on Decision Support Methods. Workshop Europe adapts to Climate Change – Science-policy interactions in national adaptation policy –

The objective of the workshop was to exchange views and experiences on science-policy interactions in support of the development and implementation of adaptation strategies in Europe, to further research and policy development, and explore opportunities for international collaboration. More.

Open Call Pre-Proposals Second phase Knowledge for Climate
On 25 May 2009, the Executive Board of Knowledge for Climate has officially launched the call for pre-proposals. A maximum of € 20 million in subsidy funding is available for this open call. More.

Climate Conference Rotterdam 2008
On November 27 2008, the Knowledge for Climate Research Programme and Climate changes Spatial Planning Programme successfully organized the conference: 'Op weg naar een klimaatbestendige samenleving', which means On route to a climate proofing society in the Netherlands.
